- Take a warm and wet evening in Yogyacarta;
- Enter a small corner restaurant with few locals and a smily chef and get a seat in one of the tables covered with an orange tablecloth;
- Order a Nasi or Mie Goreng and the result will be the one in the picture: fried rice or egg noodles, vegetables, eggs and if you want chicken... A tasty, healthy and colourful dish!
Recipe for Nasi Campur:
- Take a small little island called Gili Air and 2 hungry people;
- Add a small restaurant that looks like a food shop full off nuts, chips, dried fruits and vegetables;
- Order to the lady behind the counter a Nasi Campur and choose among many different tasty foods: boiled rice, tempeh, tau fu, vegetables meatballs, chicken or fish in a coloured sauce, boiled eggs, green vegetables... once made your dish, you can add peanuts sauce on top or a really really spicy red sauce (only for the bravest!)
- Take a small restaurant with a wodden roof and nice long tables to share, near Bali's main market;
- On the paper provided by a smiling old lady, write Gado Gado;
- You'll receive a big salad served with crunchy crackers, tau fu, tempeh and a delicius peanut sauce;
- You'll fall in love with this dish... who could imagine that a salad could be that yummy???
