A Granita in Gerace - Calabria - Italy
Ingredients:
- A sunny day in the undiscovered Calabria;
- A tiny little historical village built on the top of a hill: Gerace;
- The willingess to taste something sweet and unforgettable: the famous GRANITA.
Recipes:
- Take the road that, from the coast facing the Ionic, sea reaches Gerace;
- Enjoy the walk in the narrow streets of the little village with its buildings made of stones, arches decorated with flowers, a majestic old church and a stunning view on the surrounding landscape;
- Reach the bar in the middle of the main square, take a seat at one of the tables outside and order a "Granita con la panna e la Brioscia" (a slush with wipped cream and croissant) and choose one or two of the many flavours: coffee, chocolate, almond, strawberry, fig, peach...
When you'll receve it, you'll be really surprised and you'll try to figure out how to finish it... but as soon as you'll taste it, you won't be able to stop eating it and you'll probably order a second one!
